Redemption Instructions:

• Enter your assigned code in the promo code box on the right and click apply (note the code is case-sensitive, we suggest typing it rather than pasting)
• Once the code is accepted, the box will outline in GREEN
• Please give the system a few moments as it looks up all of the ticket options (it could take up to one minute)
• The page will refresh automatically and reveal all available event date and entry time vehicle admission options
• Select "1" from the drop down menu for the event date / entry time desired
• Once your selection is made, click “Buy Now” on the bottom right
• Each pass is valid for one vehicle, with a max capacity of nine occupants
• Follow the prompts to complete the redemption registration
• Your confirmation and vehicle admission pass will be emailed to you from our ticketing partner, Ticketbud
• Check junk mail if it does not arrive directly, as sometimes their messages get filtered

• The deadline for online code redemption is 5pm for each respective event date
• Vehicle admission pass quantities are limited per date/time and redeemed first-come-first-served. Once confirmed, event date & entry time cannot be changed.

Troubleshooting Tips:

If you experience issues with your code, please try again using these few troubleshooting tips:

• Give the page time to refresh and reveal ~ there are a lot of ticket options to populate in order to provide a wide selection of date/time choices
• Type the code in as opposed to copy/paste ~ reminder it is case-sensitive
• Try clearing the web browser cache and/or redeem in an incognito window ~ sometimes that helps with any cookies or plug ins that may delay the page from loading

Drive-Thru The Magic in 2020 

Vehicle Admission passes are required for entry on all nights.  

The AUSTIN TRAIL OF LIGHTS is our city’s most beloved and longest running holiday tradition. On this 56th year, guests will enjoy the lights from the comfort of their vehicles. Ticketed and timed entry rolling through the Trail in 2020 is required for everyone to help ensure a magical experience for all.

Hosted by the Trail of Lights Foundation, the annual event in Zilker Park celebrates the unique spirit and people that make Austin the place we call home. Enjoy more than 2 million lights, 70 displays and lighted tunnels, 90 lighted trees, and holiday magic to create treasured memories!

Important notes:

• One vehicle pass is required for vehicles with up to 9 passengers.
• If vehicle capacity exceeds 9 seats and/or is 20'-27' in length, two vehicle admission passes are required (even if 10 or more people are not present).
• Only passenger vehicles will be admitted and must have a seat and seatbelt for each passenger.
• Enclosed, street-legal vehicles less than 27’ in length are welcome at the event.
• Due to health and safety requirements, no open-air vehicles are allowed.

Ticketed and Timed Vehicle Entry for Everyone.

A limited amount of vehicles will be permitted to access the 2020 Austin Trail of Lights with an exclusive timed entry beginning at 5:45pm through a premium Dash Pass option. General Admission vehicle passes are available starting at 7:00pm each night. Please see current timed entry ticket availability on the right side of this page.

Vehicle Admission Pass Options 

PREMIUM VEHICLE ADMISSION: DASH PASS

The ultimate convenience at the Trail in 2020!  Dash Pass, presented by Northern Trust, is ideal for those who want to roll through the Trail before 7:00pm, and be treated with a box of goodies prior to entering the Trail. Don't sweat. Dash Pass holders that arrive after 7:00pm will still have access to a designated queue for expedited entry and receive a goodie box!   

Dash Pass includes:

• 5:45pm early access to the Austin Trail of Lights – before general admission at 7:00pm
• (1) Box of festive cookies and bottled water
• (1) ATX Lights Savings Card - shop and dine local and save
• Access to a designated and expedited queue upon arrival, even if arriving late

GENERAL ADMISSION VEHICLE PASS 

A vehicle admission pass is required for drive-thru admission at the Austin Trail of Lights on all nights. General Admission vehicle ticket is valid for one vehicle only at the designated entry time.

A limited amount of vehicles will be permitted to access the 2020 Trail of Lights per each ticketed time, which is selected during the admission purchase process.

GA Vehicle Pass entry time slots are 7:00pm / 8:00pm / 9:00pm

Fun Run Registration

Experience a reimagined Fun Run in Downtown Austin this year, to enjoy virtually and on your own time.

Registration includes:

• (1) Commemorative long-sleeve cotton Fun Run t-shirt (adult and youth sizing ~ design above)
• (1) Austin Trail of Lights Fun Run 2020 bib
• (1) ATX Lights Savings Card -- shop & dine local (with adult registrations only)
• (1) Access to a festive and fun 3-mile course around Downtown Austin landmarks
• (1) Swag bag at Packet Pick-Up

Fun Run registration does not include vehicle entry to the Austin Trail of Lights, a separate vehicle admission pass is required. Fun Run t-shirt, packet pick-up details and location to come! Team discounts not available for Fun Run registrations this year.

Health & Safety

The Trail of Lights Foundation is working with local City of Austin and Travis County authorities to ensure all CDC recommended guidelines are followed.

All vehicle occupants are required to wear a mask when interacting with staff or utilizing the restrooms prior to entry onto the Trail.

All Trail of Lights staff will remain socially distanced and wear masks.

Stay inside your vehicle.

Please do not attend if you are feeling sick or have been exposed to anyone with COVID-19.

2020 Austin Trail of Lights entry is available via Drive Thru Vehicle Admission Passes only. No pedestrian access to the Austin Trail of Lights, or other type of transportation options are permitted (such as bikes, scooters, etc). Masks required when interacting with staff or utilizing the restrooms prior to entry. Please remain in your vehicle. All sales are final ~ no refunds (unless provided by RefundProtect or Event Protect) or exchanges. This event is Rain or Shine barring any extreme weather or city park closures. This pass grants a revocable license to the bearer and bearer may be removed at any time for any reason. The resale or attempted resale of this pass at a price higher than that appearing hereon is grounds for seizure of the pass and cancellation without compensation. The holder assumes all risk or danger incidental to the attraction whether occurring prior to, during, or subsequent to, the attraction. Rain policy: Tickets for outdoor events are purchased at risk of inclement weather. In general, this ticket will not be replaced, refunded, or exchanged unless the event is canceled or postponed, or you have opted for refundable booking protection.

Optional Refundable Booking protection is available during the purchase process with our ticketing partner, Ticketbud, via the RefundProtect program for a nominal fee. Upgrade your booking and receive a 100% refund if you cannot attend for: Sickness, Accident, Injury; Public transport failure; Private vehicle failure; Emergency services recall; Home emergency; Immediate relative sickness; Pre-existing medical conditions; or for one of the many reasons outlined in the RefundProtect Terms and Conditions here, which you accept when you select a Refundable Booking at checkout. Note all ticket purchases are non-refundable and non-exchangeable otherwise.

Event Protect is the industry standard in event cancellation for Primary Ticket Agents, Secondary Ticket Agents, Events, Travel Package Providers, Venues and Sports Teams. Seeing the Event Protect trademark logo means that if the event is canceled / postponed / abandoned or curtailed due to circumstances outside of the Event Organizer’s control, Event Protect will provide each ticket holder with a refund directly to his or her chosen bank account, no matter the financial state of the Event Organizer or Ticket Agent.
